January 2009

January 2009 Update!
The footers and support columns have all be poured and the mason has started laying block.
The electric and plumbing have all be roughed in and the steel is scheduled to be put in place this week!
It's not much to look at from the surface, but it's been busy over here on Brickey Lane!
Check back soon, with the steel set and the block being laid, there will be a much more to look at in the very near future!

We are under Construction!

The rain has broken, for the moment. As I look out the front window of office on Brickey Lane I see men working, trucks moving, rumor has it that some footers will be poured this afternoon. It's a glorious day on Brickey Lane! Watch the blog closely for the next few months as we walk through every aspect of the building process. i'll show you some pictures and tell you a little bit about the progress of the building!

Rain Rain Go Away

We are so blest to have the much needed rain at Brickey Lane!!
It has, however, stalled the progress on our building project! The site is ready to go, the parking lot is leveled the equipment is on the lot, and the electricity is connected.
The office has been hard at work setting up billing accounts and filing tax exempt forms.
Now, we wait. We thank God for the gift of rain, and pray that sooner than later we have a few windows of sun in order to lay footers, then we will be on our way!

As always we ask your continued prayers for the St. Albert the Great Parish and the building project.

parish Groundbreaking!

Nothing speaks more strongly about the community here at St. Albert the Great Parish than to the tremendous support on Saturday November 15th for the groundbreaking of our Parish Center. We estimate that over 300 people joined us on a cold, rainy, windy Saturday to break bread (or Ribs) then Break ground. It was truly blessing to be part of such a wonderful day!
